commanded you, that it may be well unto you. Jeremiah 7:23
But thou shalt
say unto them, This is a nation that obeyeth not the voice of the LORD their God, nor receiveth correction: truth is perished, and is cut off
from their mouth. Jeremiah 7:28
And they have
built the high places of Tophet, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom,
to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire;
which I commanded them not, neither came it into my heart. Jeremiah 7:31
How do ye say, We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us? Lo,
certainly in vain made he it; the pen of the scribes is in vain. Jeremiah 8:8
And the LORD
saith, Because they have forsaken my law which I set
before them, and have not obeyed my voice, neither walked therein; Jeremiah
9:13
And say thou unto
them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel; Cursed be the
man that obeyeth not the words of this covenant,
Jeremiah 11:3
Which I commanded
your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt,
from the iron furnace, saying, Obey my voice, and do
them, according to all which I command you: so shall ye be my people, and I
will be your God: Jeremiah 11:4
For I earnestly
protested unto your fathers in the day that I brought them up out of the land
of Egypt, even unto this day, rising early and protesting, saying, Obey my
voice. Jeremiah 11:7
Yet they obeyed
not, nor inclined their ear, but walked every
one in the imagination of their evil heart: therefore I will
bring upon them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do;
but they did them not. Jeremiah 11:8
But if they will not obey, I will utterly pluck up and destroy that
nation, saith the LORD. Jeremiah 12:17
Then shalt thou
say unto them, Because your fathers have forsaken me,
saith the LORD, and have walked after other gods, and have served them, and
have worshipped them, and have forsaken me, and have not kept my law; Jeremiah
16:11
Neither carry
forth a burden out of your houses on the sabbath day, neither do ye any work,
but hallow ye the sabbath day, as I commanded your fathers. Jeremiah 17:22
But they obeyed
not, neither inclined their ear, but made their neck stiff, that they might not
hear, nor receive instruction. Jeremiah 17:23
If it do evil in my sight, that it obey not my voice, then I will
repent of the good, wherewith I said I would benefit them. Jeremiah 18:10
They have built also the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with
fire for burnt offerings unto Baal, which I commanded not, nor spake it, neither came it into my mind: Jeremiah 19:5
I spake unto thee in thy prosperity; but thou saidst, I will not hear. This hath been thy manner from thy
youth, that thou obeyedst not my voice. Jeremiah
22:21
Behold, I am
against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and
cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them
not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not
profit this people at all, saith the LORD. Jeremiah 23:32
And thou shalt
say unto them, Thus saith the LORD; If ye will not
hearken to me, to walk in my law, which I have set before you, Jeremiah 26:4
Now it came to
pass, when Jeremiah had made an end of speaking all that the LORD had commanded
him to speak unto all the people, that the priests and the prophets and all the
people took him, saying, Thou shalt surely die.
Jeremiah 26:8
Therefore now amend your ways and your doings, and obey the voice of the
LORD your God; and the LORD will repent him of the evil that he hath pronounced
against you. Jeremiah 26:13
But this shall be
the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith
the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their
hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. Jeremiah 31:33
And they came in,
and possessed it; but they obeyed not thy voice, neither walked in thy law;
they have done nothing of all that thou commandedst
them to do: therefore thou hast caused all this evil
to come upon them: Jeremiah 32:23
But Jeremiah
said, They shall not deliver thee. Obey, I beseech
thee, the voice of the LORD, which I speak unto thee: so
it shall be well unto thee, and thy soul shall live. Jeremiah 38:20
Now the LORD hath
brought it, and done according as he hath said:
because ye have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed his voice,
therefore this thing is come upon you. Jeremiah 40:3
Whether it be good, or whether it be evil, we will obey the voice of
the LORD our God, to whom we send thee; that it may be well with us, when we obey the voice of the LORD our God. Jeremiah 42:6
But if ye say, We will not dwell in this land, neither obey the voice of
the LORD your God, Jeremiah 42:13
And now I have
this day declared it to you; but ye have not obeyed the voice of the LORD your
God, nor any thing for the which he hath sent me unto you. Jeremiah 42:21
So Johanan the son of Kareah,
and all the captains of the forces, and all the people, obeyed not the voice of
the LORD, to dwell in the land of Judah. Jeremiah 43:4
So they came into the land of Egypt: for they obeyed not the voice
of the LORD: thus came they even to Tahpanhes.
Jeremiah 43:7
They are not
humbled even unto this day, neither have they feared, nor walked in my law, nor
in my statutes, that I set before you and before your fathers. Jeremiah 44:10
Because ye have burned incense, and because ye have sinned against the
LORD, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD, nor walked in his law, nor in
his statutes, nor in his testimonies; therefore this
evil is happened unto you, as at this day. Jeremiah 44:23
Lamentations
The LORD is
righteous; for I have rebelled against his commandment: hear, I pray you, all
people, and behold my sorrow: my virgins and my young men are gone into
captivity. Lamentations 1:18
Her gates are
sunk into the ground; he hath destroyed and broken her bars: her king and her princes
are among the Gentiles: the law is no more; her prophets also find no vision
from the LORD. Lamentations 2:9
Ezekiel
And she hath
changed my judgments into wickedness more than the nations, and my statutes
more than the countries that are round about her: for they have refused my
judgments and my statutes, they have not walked in them. Ezekiel 5:6
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye multiplied more than the
nations that are round about you, and have not walked in my statutes, neither
have kept my judgments, neither have done according to the judgments of the
nations that are round about you; Ezekiel 5:7
Mischief shall
come upon mischief, and rumour shall be upon rumour; then shall they seek a vision of the prophet; but
the law shall perish from the priest, and counsel from the ancients. Ezekiel
7:26
And ye shall know
that I am the LORD: for ye have not walked in my statutes, neither executed my
judgments, but have done after the manners of the heathen that are round about
you. Ezekiel 11:12
That they may
walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be
my people, and I will be their God. Ezekiel 11:20
But if a man be
just, and do that which is lawful and right, Ezekiel 18:5
Hath walked in my statutes, and hath kept my judgments, to deal truly;
he is just, he shall surely live, saith the Lord GOD. Ezekiel 18:9
That hath taken off his hand from the poor, that hath not received
usury nor increase, hath executed my judgments, hath walked in my statutes; he shall not die for the iniquity of his father, he
shall surely live. Ezekiel 18:17
Yet say ye, Why? doth not the son bear the iniquity of the father? When
the son hath done that which is lawful and right, and hath kept all my
statutes, and hath done them, he shall surely live. Ezekiel 18:19
But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed,
and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die. Ezekiel 18:21
Again, when the
wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he
hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his
soul alive. Ezekiel 18:27
And I gave them
my statutes, and shewed them my judgments, which if a man do,
he shall even live in them. Ezekiel 20:11
But the house of
Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes,
and they despised my judgments, which if a man do, he
shall even live in them; and my sabbaths they greatly polluted: then I said, I
would pour out my fury upon them in the wilderness, to consume them. Ezekiel
20:13
Because they
despised my judgments, and walked not in my statutes, but polluted my sabbaths:
for their heart went after their idols. Ezekiel 20:16
But I said unto
their children in the wilderness, Walk ye not in the
statutes of your fathers, neither observe their judgments, nor defile
yourselves with their idols: Ezekiel 20:18
I am the LORD your God; walk in my statutes, and
keep my judgments, and do them; Ezekiel 20:19
Notwithstanding the children rebelled against me: they walked not in my statutes, neither kept my judgments to do them, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; they polluted my sabbaths: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness. Ezekiel 20:21
Because they had
not executed my judgments, but had despised my statutes, and had polluted my
sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers’ idols. Ezekiel 20:24
Wherefore I gave
them also statutes that were not good, and judgments whereby they should not
live; Ezekiel 20:25
Her priests have
violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things:
they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they
shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes
from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them. Ezekiel 22:26
Again, when I say
unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; if he turn
from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right; Ezekiel 33:14
If the wicked
restore the pledge, give again that he had robbed, walk in the statutes of
life, without committing iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die.
Ezekiel 33:15
None of his sins
that he hath committed shall be mentioned unto him: he hath done that which is
lawful and right; he shall surely live. Ezekiel 33:16

turn from his wickedness, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall live
thereby. Ezekiel 33:19

spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my
judgments, and do them. Ezekiel 36:27

And in
controversy they shall stand in judgment; and they shall judge it according to
my judgments: and they shall keep my laws and my statutes in all mine
assemblies; and they shall hallow my sabbaths. Ezekiel 44:24
Daniel
Then said these
men, We shall not find any occasion against this
Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God. Daniel 6:5
And he shall
speak great words against the most High, and shall
wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and
they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of
time. Daniel 7:25
And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under
the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all
dominions shall serve and obey him. Daniel 7:27
And I prayed unto
the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and
dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them
that keep his commandments; Daniel 9:4
Neither have we
obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before
us by his servants the prophets. Daniel 9:10
Yea, all Israel
have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy
voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the
oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have
sinned against him. Daniel 9:11
As it is written
in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer
before the LORD our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand
thy truth. Daniel 9:13
Therefore hath the LORD watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for
the LORD our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we obeyed
not his voice. Daniel 9:14
Hosea
My people are
destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will
also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast
forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. Hosea 4:6
Ephraim is
oppressed and broken in judgment, because he willingly
walked after the commandment. Hosea 5:11
Set the trumpet
to thy mouth. He shall come as an eagle against the house of the LORD, because
they have transgressed my covenant, and trespassed against my law. Hosea 8:1
I have written to
him the great things of my law, but they were counted as a strange thing. Hosea
8:12
Amos
Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Judah, and for four,
I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have despised the law
of the LORD, and have not kept his commandments, and their lies caused them to
err, after the which their fathers have walked: Amos 2:4
Micah
And many nations
shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to
the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will
walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD
from Jerusalem. Micah 4:2
Nahum
And the LORD hath
given a commandment concerning thee, that no more of thy name be sown: out of the house of thy gods will I cut off the graven
image and the molten image: I will make thy grave; for thou art vile. Nahum
1:14
Habakkuk
Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the
wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth. Habakkuk 1:4
Zephaniah
She obeyed not
the voice; she received not correction; she trusted not in the LORD; she drew
not near to her God. Zephaniah 3:2 Her prophets are light and treacherous
persons: her priests have polluted the sanctuary, they
have done violence to the law. Zephaniah 3:4
Haggai
Then Zerubbabel
the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, with all the remnant of the
people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God, and the words of Haggai the
prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him, and the people did fear before the
LORD. Haggai 1:12
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Ask now the priests concerning the law,
saying, Haggai 2:11
Zechariah
But my words and
my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not take hold
of your fathers? and they returned and said, Like as
the LORD of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according
to our doings, so hath he dealt with us. Zechariah 1:6
And they that are
far off shall come and build in the temple of the LORD, and ye shall know that
the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you. And this shall come to pass, if ye
will diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God. Zechariah 6:15
Yea, they made
their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words
which the LORD of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the LORD of hosts.
Zechariah 7:12
Malachi
And ye shall know
that I have sent this commandment unto you, that my covenant might be with
Levi, saith the LORD of hosts. Malachi 2:4
The law of truth
was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in
peace and equity, and did turn many away from
iniquity. Malachi 2:6
For the priest’s
lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he
is the messenger of the LORD of hosts. Malachi 2:7
But ye are
departed out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble at the law; ye have
corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the LORD of hosts. Malachi 2:8
Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people,
according as ye have not kept my ways, but have been partial in the law.
Malachi 2:9
Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return? Malachi 3:7
Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have
kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of
hosts? Malachi 3:14
Remember ye the
law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel,
with the statutes and judgments. Malachi 4:4

Think not that I
am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to
fulfil. Matthew 5:17
For verily I say
unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one
tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Matthew 5:18

shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but
whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the
kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:19

them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own
tradition. Mark 7:9

commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud
not, Honour thy father and mother. Mark 10:19

Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: Mark 12:29

give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the
law? Why go ye about to kill me? John 7:19
If ye love me,
keep my commandments. John 14:15
He that hath my
commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth
me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and
will manifest myself to him. John 14:21

commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. John 15:10

for himself, Neither against the law of the Jews,
neither against the temple, nor yet against Caesar, have I offended any thing at all. Acts 25:8

evening. Acts 28:23
Romans
(For not the
hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be
justified. Romans 2:13
For when the
Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law,
these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Romans 2:14
Which show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;) Romans 2:15
Behold, thou art
called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of God, Romans 2:17
And knowest his will, and approvest
the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law; Romans
2:18
An instructor of
the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledge and of the
truth in the law. Romans 2:20
Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God? Romans 2:23
Now we know that
what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that
every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
Romans 3:19
Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his
sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. Romans 3:20
But now the
righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law
and the prophets; Romans 3:21
Do we then make
void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we
establish the law. Romans 3:31
Because the law
worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression. Romans 4:15
(For until the
law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Romans
5:13
Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin
abounded, grace did much more abound: Romans 5:20
For sin shall not
have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. Romans
6:14
What then? shall
we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. Romans
6:15
Know ye not,
brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath
dominion over a man as long as he liveth?
Romans 7:1
For the woman
which hath an husband is bound by the law to her
husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be
dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. Romans 7:2
So then if, while
her husband liveth, she be married to another man,
she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from
that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
Romans 7:3
Wherefore, my
brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye
should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we
should bring forth fruit unto God. Romans 7:4
For when we were
in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our
members to bring forth fruit unto death. Romans 7:5
But now we are
delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve
in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter. Romans 7:6
What shall we say
then? is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for
I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou
shalt not covet. Romans 7:7
But sin, taking
occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For
without the law sin was dead. Romans 7:8
For I was alive
without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
Romans 7:9
And the
commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death. Romans 7:10
For sin, taking occasion
by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me. Romans 7:11
Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good. Romans 7:12
Was then that
which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear
sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment
might become exceeding sinful. Romans 7:13
If then I do that
which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. Romans 7:16 For I
delight in the law of God after the inward man: Romans 7:22
I thank God
through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. Romans 7:25
For the law of
the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and
death. Romans 8:2
For what the law
could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in
the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: Romans
8:3
That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk
not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:4 Because the carnal mind
is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed
can be. Romans 8:7
Who are
Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the
glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God,
and the promises; Romans 9:4
But Israel, which
followed after the law of righteousness, hath not
attained to the law of righteousness. Romans 9:31
Wherefore?
Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law.
For they stumbled at that stumbling stone; Romans 9:32
For Christ is the
end of the law for righteousness to every
one that believeth. Romans 10:4
For Moses describeth the righteousness
which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.
Romans 10:5
Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth
another hath fulfilled the law. Romans 13:8

shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if
there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying,
namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
